PACHEM-BioCFI-20
Cold Flow Improver for RME and FAME
General information:
Pachem-BioCFI-20 is a Cold Flow Improver used to enhance low-temperature properties of RME and FAME fuels. It is a polymer composition in higher boiling hydrocarbons. It is specially designed to reduce both CFPP and Pour Point of the RME/FAME fuels. Depending on the composition of RME/FAME, it can reduce CFPP much below -20oC even down to -30oC.

Application:
Pachem-BioCFI-20 can be dosed undiluted into RME/FAME blends down to temperatures of 30°C depending on the characteristic of RME into which is dosed. The RME mixture should be at least 10°C above its cloud point at the time of additive injection. Pre-dilution of the product in RME/FAME (e.g. 50%) before dosing to the main stream (or batch) of RME/FAME is acceptable; it requires recalculation (adjustment) of the treat rate. A temperature of 40-50°C is recommended for storing the product. The product temperature should not exceed 70°C. Normally it is recommended to heat the product only directly before use. However, storage at elevated temperature over a period of 3-3 months is acceptable. After storage at low temperatures the product should be homogenized before use; separation of phases in the product at low temperatures is an expected and acceptable process.
Treat Rate:
Typical dosage of Pachem-Bio-CFI-20 is 1800 - 2000 ppm weight. The concentration of Pachem-Bio-CFI-20 depends on the base fuel quality and type (chemical composition) of biodiesel.
Packaging:
Pachem- Bio-CFI-20 is available in 200 l barrels, in bulk or 1000-litre tanks (IBC). Other types of packaging are available on request.
